longanberry longanberry n. A tree ({Dimocarpus longan}) of Southeastern Asia to Australia grown primarily for its sweet translucent-fleshed edible fruit (the {longan}) resembling litchi nuts; -- it is sometimes placed in genera {Euphoria} or {Nephelium}.
