Negative Neg"a*tive (n[e^]g"[.a]*t[i^]v), v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Negatived} (n[e^]g"[.a]*t[i^]vd); p. pr. & vb. n. {Negativing}.] 1. To prove unreal or untrue; to disprove. [1913 Webster]
