Nine-bark Nine"-bark`, n. (Bot.) A white-flowered rosaceous shrub ({Neillia opulifolia}, or {Spir[ae]a opulifolia}), common in the Northern United States. The bark separates into many thin layers, whence the name. [1913 Webster]
