Pahoehoe Pa*ho"e*ho`e, n. (Min.) A name given in Hawaii (formerly the Sandwich Islands) to lava having a relatively smooth or billowing surface, in distinction from the rough-surfaced lava, called {aa}. [1913 Webster +PJC]
