Potamian Po*ta"mi*an, n. [Gr. ? river.] (Zo["o]l.) A river tortoise; one of a group of tortoises ({Potamites}, or {Trionychoidea}) having a soft shell, webbed feet, and a sharp beak. See {Trionyx}. [1913 Webster]
