Pycnodontini Pyc`no*don"ti*ni, n. pl. [NL.] (Zo["o]l.) An extinct order of ganoid fishes. They had a compressed body, covered with dermal ribs (pleurolepida) and with enameled rhomboidal scales. [1913 Webster]
