Pyocyanin Py`o*cy"a*nin, n. [Gr. ? pus + ? dark blue.] (Physiol. Chem.) A blue coloring matter found in the pus from old sores, supposed to be formed through the agency of a species of bacterium ({Bacillus pyocyaneus}). [1913 Webster]
