Pewee Pe"wee, n. [So called from its note.] 1. (Zo["o]l.) A common American tyrant flycatcher ({Sayornis ph[oe]be}, or {Sayornis fuscus}). Called also {pewit}, and {ph[oe]be}. [1913 Webster]
