[Compar. {Sleeker} (sl[=e]k"[~e]r); superl. {Sleekest}.] [OE. slik; akin to Icel. sl[=i]kr, and OE. sliken to glide, slide, G. schleichen, OHG. sl[=i]hhan, D. slik, slijk, mud, slime, and E. slink.
