Spare Spare, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Spared}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Sparing}.] [AS. sparian, fr. sp[ae]r spare, sparing, saving; akin to D. & G. sparen, OHG. spar?n, Icel. & Sw. spara, Dan. spare See {Spare}, a.] 1.
