Titling Tit"ling, n. [Icel. titlingr a tit sparrow. See {Tit} a small bird.] 1. (Zo["o]l.) (a) The hedge sparrow; -- called also {titlene}. Its nest often chosen by the cuckoo as a place for depositing its own eggs. [1913 Webster]
