Brankursine Brank"ur*sine, n. [F. branc-ursine, branch-ursine, fr. LL. branca claw + L. ursinus belonging to a bear (fr. ursus bear), i. e., bear's claw, because its leaves resemble the claws of a bear. Cf. {Branch}.] (Bot.) Bear's-breech, or Acanthus. [1913 Webster]
