2. (Zo["o]l.) (a) A small grebe; the dabchick. (b) The buffel duck. (c) The water ouzel ({Cinolus aquaticus}) of Europe. (d) The American dipper or ouzel ({Cinclus Mexicanus}). [1913 Webster]
