Colophonite Col"o*pho*nite (k[o^]l"[-o]*f[-o]*n[imac]t or k[-o]*l[o^]f"[-o]*n[imac]t), n. [Cf. F. colophonite. So named from its resemblance to the color of colophony.] (Min.) A coarsely granular variety of garnet. [1913 Webster]
