Dote Dote, v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Doted}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Doting}.] [OE. doten; akin to OD. doten, D. dutten, to doze, Icel. dotta to nod from sleep, MHG. t?zen to keep still: cf.
