Dolorous Dol"or*ous, a. [L. dolorosus, from dolor: cf. F. douloureux. See {Dolor}.] 1. Full of grief; sad; sorrowful; doleful; dismal; as, a dolorous object; dolorous discourses. [1913 Webster]
