Tulip-shell Tu"lip-shell`, n. (Zo["o]l.) A large, handsomely colored, marine univalve shell ({Fasciolaria tulipa}) native of the Southern United States. The name is sometimes applied also to other species of {Fasciolaria}. [1913 Webster]
