Fimbriate Fim*bri*ate, a. [L. fimbriatus fibrous, fringed, fr. fimbria fiber, fringe. See {Fringe}.] Having the edge or extremity bordered by filiform processes thicker than hairs; fringed; as, the fimbriate petals of the pink; the fimbriate end of the Fallopian tube. [1913 Webster]
