Bugloss Bu"gloss, n.; pl. {Buglosses}. [F. buglosse, L. buglossa, buglossus, fr. Gr. ? oxtongue ? ox + ? tongue.] (Bot.) A plant of the genus {Anchusa}, and especially the {Anchusa officinalis}, sometimes called {alkanet}; oxtongue. [1913 Webster]
