Hobo Ho"bo, n.; pl. {Hobos} or {Hoboes}. [Of uncertain origin.] A professional tramp; one who spends his life traveling from place to place, esp. by stealing rides on trains, and begging for a living. [U. S.] -- {Ho"bo*ism}, n.
