lipemia lip*e"mi*a (l[i^]p*[=e]"m[-e]*[.a]), n. [Gr. li`pos fat + 'ai^ma blood.] (Med.) The presence of an abnormally high concentration of lipid in the blood. Called also {hyperlipemia}, {hyperlipidemia}, {hyperlipoidemia}, {lipidemia}, {lipoidemia}. [PJC]
