Chervil Cher"vil, n. [AS. cerfille, fr. L. caerefolium, chaerephyllum, Gr. ?; ? to rejoice + ? leaf.] (Bot.) A plant ({Anthriscus cerefolium}) with pinnately divided aromatic leaves, of which several curled varieties are used in soups and salads. [1913 Webster]
