Micropyle Mi"cro*pyle, n. [Micro- + Gr. ? gate, orifice: cf. F. micropyle.] (Biol.) (a) An opening in the membranes surrounding the ovum, by which nutrition is assisted and the entrance of the spermatozoa permitted.
