Omphalode Om"pha*lode, n. [Omphalo- + Gr. e'i^dos form.] (Bot.) The central part of the hilum of a seed, through which the nutrient vessels pass into the rhaphe or the chalaza; -- called also {omphalodium}. [1913 Webster]
