Serge Serge, n. [F. serge, sarge, originally, a silken stuff, fr. L. serica, f. or neut. pl. of sericus silken. See {Sericeous}, {Silk}.] A woolen twilled stuff, much used as material for clothing for both sexes. [1913 Webster]
