Sure Sure, a. [Compar. {Surer}; superl. {Surest}.] [OE. sur, OF. se["u]r, F. s[^u]r, L. securus; se aside, without + cura care. See {Secure}, and cf. {Assure}, {Insure}, {Sicker} sure.] 1.
