Dossil Dos"sil, n. [OE. dosil faucet of a barrel, OF. dosil, duisil, spigot, LL. diciculus, ducillus, fr. L. ducere to lead, draw. See {Duct}, {Duke}.] 1. (Surg.) A small ovoid or cylindrical roil or pledget of lint, for keeping a sore, wound, etc., open; a tent. [1913 Webster]

2. (Printing) A roll of cloth for wiping off the face of a copperplate, leaving the ink in the engraved lines. [1913 Webster]
