Steadfast Stead"fast (-f[.a]st), a. [Stead + fast, that is, fast in place.] [Written also stedfast.] 1. Firmly fixed or established; fast fixed; firm. ``This steadfast globe of earth.'' --Spenser. [1913 Webster]
