Chamisal Cha`mi*sal", n. [Amer. Sp., fr. Sp. chamiza a kind of wild cane.] 1. (Bot.) A California rosaceous shrub ({Adenostoma fasciculatum}) which often forms an impenetrable chaparral. [Webster 1913 Suppl.]

2. A chaparral formed by dense growths of this shrub. [Webster 1913 Suppl.]
