Fumigate Fu"mi*gate, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Fumigated}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Fumigating}.] [L. fumigate, p. p. of fumigare to fumigate, fr. fumus smoke. See {Fume}, n.] 1. To apply smoke to; to expose to smoke or vapor; to purify, or free from infection, by the use of smoke or vapors. [1913 Webster]
