Cyanite Cy"a*nite (-n?t), n. [See {Cyanic}.] (Min.) A mineral occuring in thin-bladed crystals and crystalline aggregates, of a sky-blue color. It is a silicate of aluminium. [Written also {kyanite}.] [1913 Webster]
