Cerulein Ce*ru"le*in, n. [L. caeruleus sky-blue.] (Chem.) A fast dyestuff, {C20H8O6}, made by heating gallein with strong sulphuric acid. It dyes mordanted fabrics green. [Webster 1913 Suppl.]
